Special Agricultural Chains Manufacturer - CA650, P41.3, LV40, CAE44151 and 67T-ROD Chain for Harvesters | Ocean Industry
Not every agricultural drive is a standard fit. The chains on this page are the ones that sit outside the S and C type catalogue: the CA650 range at 50.8 mm pitch, the P41.3 attachment patterns, the LV40 series, the CAE44151 and P28 drives, and two heavy specials - the 67T-ROD rod chain at 60.655 mm pitch and the twin-pitch P47.25/55.75. Pitch runs from 28.575 mm to 60.655 mm, and minimum tensile strength from 31.4 kN on the LV40 to 138.0 kN on the CA650F1. Most of these exist because a machine builder specified them, which is why the attachment dimensions matter here as much as the chain dimensions.
The Short Version
Eleven specification groups, covering CA650, P41.3, CA620 / CA642 / CA645, LV40, CAE44151 and P28, plus the 67T-ROD and twin-pitch specials.
Pitch 28.575 mm to 60.655 mm; minimum tensile strength 31.4 kN to 138.0 kN.
Standard and hollow-pin builds, including 216BF1 for cross-shaft and pinned joints.
Attachment and SD patterns listed with their own C, E, F, W, h4 and d4 dimensions rather than as one generic figure.
Rod chain 67T-ROD, quoted by inside width, overall width and thickness.
Twin-pitch specials at 47.25 / 55.75 mm and 49.90 / 50.10 mm, up to 130.0 kN.
Made to order against a drawing, with the dimension sheet approved before production starts.
Where These Chains Are Used
Replacing an original fit. Most of the models here were specified by a machine builder, so they are usually ordered as replacements rather than as catalogue items, and the identification matters more than the price.
Heavier drives at 50.8 mm pitch. The CA650 range and 216BF1 sit in drives where a standard S or C type chain does not carry the load, including the heavier sections of combine harvesters.
Attachment drives at 41.3 mm and 42 mm. The P41.3, CA620, CA642 and CA645 patterns are used where the chain has to move a fitted attachment as well as transmit power.
Cross-shaft and pinned joints. The hollow pin version is used where a pin, a cross shaft or a cotter passes through the chain, which is a joint a solid-pin chain cannot make.
High-load conveying. The twin-pitch specials and the 67T-ROD rod chain are used on conveying sections that need a very high tensile strength at a pitch that is not part of any standard range.
Compact drives and close-spaced attachments. The 28.575 mm small-pitch specials are used where there is little room and the attachments sit close together.
Why Buyers Choose Ocean for These Chains
The awkward sizes are the normal case here. Nine of the eleven groups on this page sit outside the ordinary S and C type range, and they are held together in one place instead of being scattered across the catalogue.
Chain and attachment dimensions on the same table. Attachment figures sit beside the chain figures in every group, so whether a part will fit can be settled from the page itself.
Tensile strength stated per model. From 31.4 kN on the LV40 to 138.0 kN on the CA650F1, which means a replacement can be matched to the original chain instead of estimated from the pitch.
Special geometry treated as special. The rod chain and the twin-pitch versions are quoted by their own measurements - inside width, overall width, thickness - rather than being forced into a standard table where they do not belong.
Made to order against a drawing. A dimension sheet is issued for approval first, and that approved sheet governs the batch.
Payment Terms
T/T, with 30% as a deposit and the balance of 70% before delivery, is the standard arrangement for the chains on this page. It is set out here rather than left to the offer, so that a buyer can plan the cash flow before the enquiry is even sent.
Simpler terms for a bare chain. Where the order is a stock pattern rather than a special made from a drawing, 100% on the order is often easier and the deposit step disappears.
Letters of credit. If your bank requires an L/C, raise it with the enquiry and the quotation is prepared on that basis, rather than rebuilt later when the terms change.
What moves the terms. Whether the part is a stock pattern or a one-off special, whether it is a first order or a repeat against an approved sheet, and whether the buyer or the forwarder is the importer of record each change the offer.
Repeat orders. Once a dimension sheet has been approved and the first batch delivered, repeats normally move to faster and simpler terms, because the geometry is settled on both sides.
How to Order a Special Agricultural Chain
Send the chain number if it is still legible. On these models that is usually the fastest route, because several of them exist for a single machine and nothing else will fit.
If the number has gone, send the measurements. Pitch alone is not enough on this page: P41.3 and CA642 are close in pitch but not interchangeable, so the attachment dimensions C, E, F, W, h4 and d4 are what settle the identification.
Tell us the machine and the duty. The make and model of the equipment, the hours on the failed chain, and whether it failed at the pin, at the plate or at the attachment each narrow the choice.
We confirm the model. You receive the chain number, the attachment pattern, the quantity and the dimension sheet to approve.
Approve, then build. Nothing is scheduled until the sheet has been signed off, and the signed sheet governs what is made.
Dispatch and follow-up. Packing, documents and shipping method are settled before dispatch, and any later change to the attachment is recorded against the same reference.
Packing and Shipping
Short runs travel boxed. Most orders on this page are a handful of chains rather than a pallet load, so the packing is built around protecting the attachment rather than around volume.
Attachments are the part that bends. Packing is arranged so the attachment plate is not carrying the weight of whatever sits on top of it.
Rust protection for stored parts. These chains often wait in a store until the machine returns to service. Extra rust-preventive treatment can be specified on the order and is costed in when you ask for it.
Identification. The chain number and quantity are marked on every package, and the same details are carried on the packing list.
Freight. Tell us the port and the trade term you buy on and the carriage is included in the quotation.
Mixed orders. Several patterns usually travel together on this range, so mention the mix when you ask for a price and the packing is built around it.
FAQ
What makes these chains special rather than standard?
They sit outside the ordinary S and C type agricultural range. Some are heavier, such as the CA650 patterns at 50.8 mm pitch; some use a different attachment geometry, such as P41.3; and some are genuinely unusual, such as the rod chain and the twin-pitch versions with two pitch columns.
How do I identify one when the number has worn off?
Measure the pitch and then the attachment. On this page pitch alone is not enough, because P41.3 and CA642 are close in pitch but will not interchange. The attachment dimensions C, E, F, W, h4 and d4 are what identify the pattern.
What is a hollow pin chain for?
216BF1 carries a hollow pin with a 35.3 mm minimum bore on a 50.8 mm pitch chain. It is used where a cross shaft, a pin or a cotter has to pass through the chain itself, which a solid-pin chain cannot do.
What is the 67T-ROD chain?
A rod chain at 60.655 mm pitch, described by inside width 28.575 mm, overall width 63.5 mm and thickness 11.1 mm, with an average tensile strength of 71.18 kN. It is quoted by those measurements rather than by a sprocket standard.
Why do some tables have two pitch columns?
Because the two sides of the chain do not share one pitch. P47.25/55.75 and P49.9/50.1 are built that way, and both figures are needed to identify the part. Tensile strength reaches 130.0 kN on the 47.25 / 55.75 version.
What are your payment terms?
T/T, with 30% as a deposit and the remaining 70% before delivery. If your bank requires a letter of credit, tell us at the enquiry stage so the quotation is prepared on that basis from the outset.
Can the attachment be altered to suit my machine?
Yes. Attachments are made to a drawing, and the dimension sheet is agreed before production. Send the worn attachment or a sketch with the critical dimensions marked and we will come back with a drawing for approval.
What range does this page cover?
Pitch from 28.575 mm to 60.655 mm, and minimum tensile strength from 31.4 kN on the LV40 to 138.0 kN on the CA650F1.
Send the Chain Number or the Worn Parts
These chains are ordered by identification rather than by browsing. Send the number from the old plate, the machine make and model, or the worn parts themselves, and the chain number, the attachment pattern and the dimension sheet come back for you to approve.

The Eleven Groups on This Page
The CA650 range. 50.8 mm pitch, in the F1, F2, F3 and F4 attachment patterns. Minimum tensile strength is 90.0 kN for the standard pattern and 138.0 kN for CA650F1, which is the highest figure on this page.
The P41.3 group. 41.3 mm pitch across the SD, SDF4, SDF5, SDF6 and K1 patterns, each listed with its own C, E, F, W, h4 and d4 attachment dimensions.
The CA620, CA642 and CA645 group. 42.01 mm and 41.40 mm pitches, including CA645F1 at 71.7 kN minimum tensile strength and CA642 with a 1.33 mm plate thickness.
Hollow pin chain. 216BF1 pairs a 50.8 mm pitch with a hollow pin bore of 35.3 mm minimum, for joints where a cross shaft, pin or cotter has to pass through the chain itself.
The LV40 series. 40 mm pitch, with LV40 at 31.4 kN minimum tensile strength and the attachment version LV40K1 dimensioned on its own G, F, W and h4 columns.
Small-pitch specials. CAE44151S1 and CAE44151S2 at 28.575 mm pitch, and P28F3 at the same pitch with a 15.875 mm inner width.
Rod and twin-pitch chain.67T-ROD at 60.655 mm pitch, quoted by inside width 28.575 mm, overall width 63.5 mm and thickness 11.1 mm; and the twin-pitch specials P47.25/55.75 and P49.9/50.1, which carry two pitch columns because the two sides of the chain do not share a single pitch. Tensile strength reaches 130.0 kN on the P47.25/55.75.
